Dr. Randy Harwood will present a talk entitled A California Road Trip for Nature Lovers.  Randy's photographs will highlight a number of beautiful places and wildlife that can be seen throughout California.  Starting in Anza Borrego, we will travel north all the way to Point Reyes and Mendocino in Northern California.  Randy is a native Californian who has resided in the South Bay for 49 years.  he has been an enthusiastic underwater and wildlife photographer for more than 40 years.  He taught at UCLA and practiced dentistry for 40 years and now is active with the Palos Verdes Peninsula Land Conservancy as a member of the Board of Directors.

Dr. Eric Haseltine has a new book out entitled The Spy in Moscow Station.  The book is a true spy thriller drawn form Eric's experiences at NSA and elsewhere in the Intelligence Community.  It took 6 months for the NSA and CIA to approve the book's release and it includes a foreword by Gen. Hayden, former CIA and NSA director.  Eric will speak on the book and sell/sign copies.  Dr. Eric Haseltine is an author, futurist, and neuroscientist.  He was the associate director and CTO for national intelligence at the Office of the Director of National Intelligence, the director of research at the National Security Agency, an executive vice president at Walt Disney Imagineering, and a director of engineering at Hughes Aircraft Company.  He has co-authored 15 patents and has published more than 100 articles in Discover magazine.

Bill Foster will lead us through a PowerPoint tour of the Battleship Iowa, focusing on its history and on how volunteers contribute to its operation.  Bill is a retired airline captain who worked for Continental Airlines for 35 years.  He learned to fly courtesy of the US Navy and flew carrier based combat missions during the Vietnam War.  Bill has volunteered on the Battleship Iowa for 6 years as a tour guide.
